Safety Instructions

Remove crystal along with twine before setting alight.

Use a candle to set your smudge alight rather than a lighter as it can take a few seconds to catch fire. Once the smudge catches fire blow the flame out gently.

Carry out your smudging ritual as directed here.

Use a fireproof bowl with sand to extinguish the smudge safely. You may choose to place the burning smudge on the fireproof bowl allowing it to extinguish on its own however please make sure you do not leave a lit smudge unattended. Don't have a fireproof bowl? Get one here.

Directions

 There really is no right or wrong way to do this, however, if you are a newbie, here are some pointers to help get you started.

• Light your smudge, once alight gently blow the flame out enabling it to smoke. Walk around your home and fill the air with aromatic smoke. 
• You will need a fireproof container ideally with some sand to extinguish the smudge - look at some options here
• Do not leave unattended
